Viewers are promised an “explosive” Christmas Day in Albert Square, not least because the Beales and the Mitchells are spending the day in each other’s company.
Ian Beale (played by Adam Woodyatt) is determined to have a perfect first Christmas with his mum Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) since she departed for South Africa.

However Ian’s hopes for a wonderful Christmas are dashed when Jane reveals that Sharon (Letitia Dean) plans to go to the police about Bobby killing his older sister Lucy.
A panicked Ian pleads with Sharon to stay quiet, but despite his desperate attempts, Sharon puts her foot down and insists she will not change her mind.
